MV Pelagic

MV Pelagic is a 9m purpose built white pointer which is Maritime NZ registered and carries a comprehensive array of safety equipment for offshore voyages. It’s the ideal boat as it is fast so we can get out to the fishing grounds quickly. Our skippers have many years of experience and knowledge and will take you to the hot spots at the time of your charter.

MV Pelagic departs from Westhaven Marina, Gulf Harbour and Little Huia. In spring (October – December) we specialise in Auckland’s amazing Hauraki Gulf. At this time the action can be incredible with enormous workups, huge snapper and stunning fishing.

In summer (January – April) we depart from Little Huia targeting Marlin/Tuna from Auckland’s West Coast.

In winter (June – August) we depart from Waihau Bay/Tauranga targeting the mighty Southern Bluefin Tuna.

Target species on MV Pelagic includes: Snapper, Kingfish, Terakihi, Trevally, Kahawai, Marlin, Yellow Fin, or Bluefin Tuna.
