Mt Maunganui crowns the entrance of this plentiful harbour. Outside the harbour there are many famous fishing grounds including White Island, Ranfurly Banks, Mayor Island, The Alderman Islands, Waihau Bay and Lottin Point. All of these provide superb fishing for Snapper, Kingfish, Marlin, Tuna, Bass, Bluenose and Hapuka. Tauranga harbour provides superb fishing Snapper, Kahawai and Kingfish fishing in the comfort of a sheltered harbour.
Snapper Fishing Charters Tauranga
Snapper are plentiful in and around Tauranga Harbour. It’s a lot of fun, simple and perfect for large groups of up to 20 people on Te Ariki Nui.
Whilst targeting Snapper there’s a lot of other fish that may be caught on your charter including Snapper, Trevally, Kahawai and Kingfish.
Kingfish Fishing Charters Tauranga
Tauranga Harbour itself provides some great fishing for Kingfish. It’s also the gateway to Mayor Island, White Island, Cape Run Away, Waihau Bay, Lottin Point and the Ranfurly Banks which are all stunning kingfish fisheries. 40kg Kingfish have been caught in Tauranga harbour. The Kingfish all tackle world record of 52kg is shared between two locally caught fish. One of them was just outside of Tauranga at Motiti Island and the other at White Island which is also a favourite of ours. The Motiti Island one was landed with just 15kg line. Astonishing!

You can chose if you want to target Kingfish, Snapper Terakihi, Trevally, Kahawai, Marlin, Yellow Fin, or Bluefin Tuna. These charters are great for your company christmas party or as a corporate event. Friendly skipper included.
10 Hour Tauranga Fishing Charters and Corporate Charters

$2,900 10 hour fishing charter tailored to yourself – Target species can include Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellowfin, Bluefin Tuna, Kingfish, Hapuka, Bluenose, Bass, Snapper and Terakihi. 6am to 4pm for up to 6 people. Includes a friendly skipper.
Multi Day BOP Fishing Charters
$3,900 per day for up to 6 passengers (Maximum of 10)
The whole Bay Of Plenty at your door step. The Alderman Islands, Mayor Island, White Island, Waihau Bay, Lottin Point, Hicks Bay and of course the Ranfurly Banks are all great destinations we head for from Tauranga. Friendly skipper and deckhand included.
$675 per day/night for individuals on multi day fishing charters.
